As COO of ElevationSpace, Kaz oversees the company’s business development, government relations, sales and marketing activities, and promotes realization of the ELS-R unmanned space environment utilization and recovery platform and the ELS-RS high frequency reentry and recovery service from LEO. Prior to joining ElevationSpace, he was responsible for business development, mainly in Asia, at Rakuten, a major internet company, where he launched and rebuilt the logistics business, promoted PMI and business restructuring of overseas logistics subsidiaries, and led the introduction of a new generation EC platform at AEON, a major distribution company and has 25 years of business experience. He graduated from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, National Defense Academy of Japan.
