Mamoru Endo joined the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA, now JAXA) in 1976. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in the development of rocket engines and ground test and launch facilities for Japanese flagship rockets, H-I, H-II, and H-IIA. He served as the H-IIA Project Manager and held the position of Executive Director, culminating in his tenure as Vice President of JAXA until 2018.
