Shintaro Yamashita is Deputy General Manager at Defense Systems Division of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. He has been engaged in the design of many space systems in geostationary and low earth orbit since 1999. He has been in his current position since 2024. He leads the planning of space systems in a wide range of fields, including space domain awareness (SDA), observation, communication, and positioning etc, and promotes the creation of new satellite applications and services together with stakeholders in Japan and overseas.
