After receiving a Master’s degree in Precision Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, TOMONORI SATO joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 1992. Engaged in research and development focusing on automatic control technology at the Industrial Systems Research Laboratory, Advanced Technology R&D Center, and Nagoya Works. In July 2021, he was appointed Executive Officer, and in April 2023, Group President, Defense & Space Systems. In April 2024, he was appointed CTO (Technology Strategy Officer) in addition to his current position.
