Holds a PhD in Engineering from Kyoto University (shortened term graduation). Researched as a visiting researcher at Johns Hopkins University APL and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in recognition of his research results using satellite data and computer simulations. Prior to Degas, worked as a senior scientist at Amazon MLSL (Machine Learning Solutions Lab) in Silicon Valley, where he led a myriad of social implementation projects, using machine learning solutions.
