Rogel Mari Sese

Rogel Mari Sese is an internationally recognized expert on space science development and one of the three astrophysicists in the Philippines. He currently a University Research Fellow at FEATI University, Philippines and serves as the President of Regulus SpaceTech, a pioneering space technology and education company promoting space technology development, applications and education in the country and has worked with the academe, industry, government and defense sectors in promoting that utilization of aerospace technology in the Philippines. He spearheaded numerous researches in aerospace development in the Philippines such as the project leader of the National SPACE Development Program and the UAV Research and Development Consortium of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). He was awarded by the International Astronautical Federation as one of the 2012 Emerging Space Leaders, the first Filipino to ever receive such recognition, and was recently named by Asian Scientist Magazine as one of the Top 100 Asian Scientists for 2018. He has extensively published numerous works and presentations in the fields of astrophysics, space education and space policy in various academic and inter-governmental meetings including the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum, ASEAN and United Nations.
